JoBoy's Brew Pub was started in the town of Manheim, PA in April 2010. Owner Jeff Harless, a native of North Carolina has been barbequing for over thirty years. He started brewing beer many years ago as a homebrewer. Along with his wife Jo, Jeff competed in barbeque competitions for 3 and a half years and catered barbeque events prior to opening JoBoy's Brew Pub. Jeff, a retired military veteran of 26 years and a corporate vice president with 12 years in human resources and customer service, and Jo, a project manager with over 20 years of purchasing and business operations service, decided to take their barbequing and brewing talents along with their business skills and open JoBoy's Brew Pub.

JoBoy's Brew Pub handcrafts its beer in 2 barrel batches. The authentic southern barbeque is smoked over hickory wood at low temperatures for 16 hours using all homemade rubs and sauces. The brewing and cooking process is monitored under the close personal attention of the owners, chefs, and brewmaster to ensure consistently excellent taste of their beers and barbeque.

JoBoy's Brew Pub offers a good variety of handcrafted beers to include; Lititz Springs Lager and Manheim Red, their flagship beers, Porter, Pale Ale, American IPA, and German Wheat. They also produce specialty beers such as a Grape Infused IPA, Imperial Stouts, and Belgian Ales to name a few. In addition and unlike most pubs who serve a limited menu of pub fare, JoBoy's offers authentic southern barbeque items such as ribs, pork butts, chicken and brisket. In addition to the barbeque the menu also includes many other non-BBQ platters. They also serve soups, side dishes and desserts. Homemade sauces and rubs are also available for purchase.

JoBoy's Brew Pub has built a reputation for its hand crafted beer and southern barbeque using time honored methodology, and the finest meats and ingredients they can obtain. Jeff and Jo are heavily involved in the business daily, with a “hands on” style of management, retaining close supervision over all operations. Their strong personal commitment to quality, service, and custmer satisfaction sets them apart from other restaurants. When they are not tied up doing owner stuff, they typically visit tables to greet their customers and thank them for coming in. They pride themselves on creating a company culture with values like respect, hard work, and excellence in all that they do. In addition to the brewpub, JoBoy’s has an events space able to accommodate up to 180 people. The Speakeasy is also available for events and parties of 50 or less. They are able to accommodate all of your needs.
